about dollduck

Toons are supposed to fight cogs. It's what the resistance keeps hammering into Dolores "Doll" Fuzzwing's head; the two are enemies. Doll, however, does not see the point in fighting; it takes too much energy, it's a waste of pies, and it feels redundant. Can't they just get along and call it a day?

Buck Ruffler certainly hadn't entertained the thought. It's all too funny to consider; there's no way a toon could sweeten the pot enough to earn his trust! Right? That's what he'd always told himself.

And yet- something about Doll makes him feel like he's going to short circuit. They aren't quite as bent on justice against Suitkind; they're compassionate and easy to flush, and it's a little funny to watch them squawk about when something goes wrong.

Buck and Doll are breaking the status quo when it comes to the dynamics between Toons and Suits. Both bounce off of one another quite well, with Doll's outgoing and friendly personality complimenting Buck's manic impulsivity. Doll's lack of understanding on most social cues as well as odd taste in men certainly helps Buck's case; they find him endearing, rather than offputting. It's unconventional, but at this point, they don't care.
